Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. 1Assumes overall command and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
2. 2Ensures compliance with all international and flag state maritime regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, and ISPS Code.
3. 3Makes critical decisions regarding navigation, weather routing, and emergency response.
4. 4Oversees all department heads and ensures effective coordination between departments.
5. 5Conducts regular safety inspections and ensures all drills are carried out per schedule.
6. 6Manages communication with port authorities, pilots, and shore-side management.
7. 7Reviews and approves voyage plans, stability calculations, and cargo operations.
8. 8Ensures the well-being and welfare of all crew members and passengers on board.
9. 9Represents the company to guests and maintains high standards of guest satisfaction.
10. 10Maintains all official ship documents, certificates, and logbooks.
