Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. 1Stands engine room watches and monitors all machinery during assigned watch periods.
2. 2Performs maintenance on auxiliary engines, pumps, and compressors.
3. 3Assists in the maintenance of the main engine under supervision of senior engineers.
4. 4Operates and monitors sewage treatment plant and fresh water generators.
5. 5Conducts routine checks on fuel, lubricating oil, and cooling water systems.
6. 6Maintains engine room cleanliness and bilge water management.
7. 7Assists in emergency drills and follows engine room emergency procedures.
8. 8Learns advanced maintenance techniques from senior engineers.
