Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. 1Stands engine room watches under supervision and monitors all machinery parameters.
2. 2Performs basic maintenance tasks on auxiliary machinery and pumps.
3. 3Assists senior engineers during main engine maintenance and repairs.
4. 4Monitors engine room alarms and responds to abnormal conditions.
5. 5Maintains cleanliness and order in the engine room and workshop.
6. 6Assists with bunkering operations and fuel transfer.
7. 7Participates in safety drills and learns emergency procedures.
8. 8Records machinery readings and maintains watch-keeping logs.
